Course Description

Psycholinguistics is an interdisciplinary branch of linguistics investigating the psychological aspects of language acquisition, production, perception, and use. It combines knowledge, methods, and practices from various fields, such as linguistics, psychology, cognitive science, neurolinguistics, and speech pathology. The course will outline the basic ideas, theories, terms, and methods in the scientific study of how language is acquired, stored, and processed in the brain and the study of language and cognition relationships.
